Dr Vu’s laboratory focuses on the following areas of study: the role of the vasculature in organogenesis, the development of pulmonary alveoli, the development and function of lung myofibroblasts, the biology of lung progenitor and stem cells. Our laboratory aims to identify the molecular and cellular mechanisms important for lung development, particularly for pulmonary alveolar formation. We are also interested in identifying conditions that promote lung repair and regeneration in the adults.
