Currently, the work of the LRRC is focused on basic science discoveries in the fields of lung tissue repair and regeneration. However, a goal of our network is to understand and build upon lung science in humans. The findings from the LRRC have the potential to improve treatments of lung diseases such as Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), and other serious lung disorders.
